Tim was in Kentucky for a conference last week, so we were on our own here at home. We mostly did our normal routine, as well as, took a trip to the Air and Space museum. (BTW, the museum can hold a toddler boy's attention for 3 hours). This is what Tim was doing on his trip:
Jamming to Patty Loveless, Loretta Lynn, and Wyonna....
I should probably clarify that, Tim called me while he was at the concert and I got to sing along to all of Wynonna's set. He was on the 3rd row, so the sound was really clear.
Ha Ha! He was working too- talking to lots and lots of senators. He got home early on Thursday morning and had the rest of the week off. It was so nice to have him home. We sure missed him while he was away!
Here's what the kitchen looks like now- not complete, but getting there. In the pictures, the blue looks really bright, but it's actually really deep and dark.
This is the shelf I mentioned before that I painted. We still need to cover the entire back. I don't know why the previous owner just covered part of it...We call those kind of things, "Bob jobs." (Bob wasn't a real handyman, I should say).
And here are our top cabinets. They sure brighten up the kitchen.
On Friday, the weather was just about as perfect as it can get in July, so we decided to take advantage of it and go the the National Zoo. We had a great time. But we were a little zonked when we finally got home.
And finally, Holden flying in his airplane. Helmet and all!
We have tons of pictures like this one. I think the majority of the pictures we take of Holden are in some type of airplane he's constructed.
Can't believe it's Monday already.
