Good news!

For days, I've been down about our cabinets. "It's not the money we spent on paint, it's the time," I keep saying to myself and that's so true. Since, we're doing every thing ourselves, after the boys are in bed, it's taking us a while, but I wouldn't have it any other way. I've always wanted to own a house that Tim and I could fix up to our taste and that's exactly what we are getting to do. We're having so much fun making it ours. Yesterday afternoon, I decided to touch the cabinets again and when I did, they're not as sticky anymore. In fact, I think it may be quite possible that we won't have to redo them at all. They actually feel dry. Weird... Thank goodness, though! I am, however, thinking that it may be worth it to put some small felt circles on the back corners of the cabinet doors to insure there will be no sticking in the future. I totally think the high humidity here contributed to the stickiness. So I think I'm out of the woods.

Did I mention how sleepy I am today? My fault, totally. I stayed up until midnight listening on my phone to Wynonna Judd. You better believe I was singing along! "Grandpa, tell me 'bout the good 'ole days...." and "Love can build a bridge..." Tim was sweet enough to call me during his Patty Loveless, Loretta Lynn, Wynonna Judd concert. It sure took me back... He was in the third row, so it was so clear on the phone. I freaked out a little when Wynonna said that The Judds were going on tour again. I sure wish I could've been there, in person, but Tim sent me pictures and held the phone for over an hour, so that was good enough :) (Thanks, honey. I love you and I miss you!)

Well, we're off the the bookstore to look for The G-Fre Diet, so I can see if that's why Fount's arms are breaking out so badly. We'll see... Not sure if I'll be able to get out of there without getting Holden some kind of airplane book. Ha!
