Antsy

I'm getting antsy about the kitchen. I had high hopes of completing the cabinet redo while Tim was in Kentucky at a convention. Sad to say, that's just not a possibility. I'm just not as Home Depot savy as he is, so I'll leave to decison of what to do with the cabinets to him. I guess, for now, I'll just keep working on the wall, ceiling, and baseboard touch-ups. From the looks of it, we're wild painters, so I have quite a bit of that to get done, but between that and The Bachelorette tonight, I think I'll be able to get it all done. I painted our kitchen shelves, the same deep blue color as the walls, a couple of nights ago, and I've been really pleased with the outcome. I hope Tim likes it as much as me. I forgot to tell him about my idea :) I guess it's kind of like the time he went to another conference and I painted our pantry door with chalkboard paint :) Or, as he would probably say, "like everyday he gets home, something is different"- I can't help it. Back to the painted shelves- I've decided to embrace the odd shelving and use it more like a bookshelf for kitchen stuff and stop hiding itbehind a curtain. With that said, the washer and dryer beside it, will be covered with a white linen drape. I think. I didn't get a chance to take a "before" picture because Tim has the camera, but I do have this one-
You can see it behind Tim. Before all the painting began, it was covered with a red curtain.
The bottom 3 shelves are blank, since they're all within Fount's reach.
And the shelves are too shallow to add baskets, so it looks a little blank....my wheels are turning...

Can't wait to post more pictures when Tim gets home. Next is our dining room. It'll be a dramatic change!
