Spaghetti Pie

Recipe:

3 oz. whole wheat spaghetti
1/2 lb. ground turkey
*1/2 cup brocolli puree*
1 large egg white
2 Tbs. grated Parmesan
2 cloves garlic, chopped
2 cups bottled tomato sauce
1 cup lowfat cottage cheese (I used lowfat ricotta).
*1/4 gup carrot puree*
1/2 tsp. salt
1/4 tsp. pepper
1 cup shredded part-skim mozzarella

Coat 9 in. pie plate with cooking spray. Mix ground meat with brocolli puree, egg white, parmesan, & garlic. Form mixture into 1/2 in. balls. Stir cooked pasta, tomato sauce, cottage cheese, carrot puree, salt, & patter. Spoon mixture into pie plate. Scatter meat balls on top & sprinkle w/ mozzarella. Bake uncovered at 350 for 30 min. or until center is firm & cheese is bubbly (I actually had to cook mine longer).  Serves 8-10.
