Holden and Tim, about to go into surgery
So glad Wednesday is over. Holden was so brave. We were so proud of him. The surgery itself only took about 20 minutes and after it was all over, the doctor spoke with us and said it went very well. We should have the lab results for his freckle when he gets his stitches removed on the 27th. Poor guy- whenever the nurse brought us back to the recovery room, we found Holden standing in the bed, fighting off two nurses. I don't know why they didn't bring us back to wait with him as soon as he got out of surgery (surely that would have been easier on everyone, especially a scared two year old). As soon as Tim picked him up, he ripped out his IV and squirted blood everywhere. I felt terrible for him. The nurses said it was completely normal. Once we were there, it was nothing a little Daddy and cheer cheers couldn't fix. He seemed pretty sleepy on the way home. We had to stop at Target for Tylenol and a prize movie. Since the Tylenol/Motrin recall happened, I hadn't had a chance to pick any up, but it seemed like most everyone else did because they were completely out, or so I thought. Before leaving, I dug through the shelves, and found a lost Children's Tylenol- thank goodness! At home, Holden watched a few movies and then he was ready to play. He hasn't stopped since. Kids sure do bounce back quickly, don't they? He hasn't complained or mentioned his head once, even though he has quite a few stitches to show for.
