Listen up Gymboree

On Saturday, we took Holden to Great Falls for his first hike. Before we could head out and brave the heat, we had to drop by the store and pick up a non-nerdy hat to shade Holden. That's not asking too much right? Non-nerdy. Well, apparently it is. Three stores and who knows how much wasted time later, we finally found one on the cooler side, so we snagged it. (Do people stil say "cool"?..) I had no idea how difficult it would be to find clothes and accessories for little boys that weren't covered with teddy bears dressed up like pilots named Peter (yes, I've seen it). What's up with that? It's like every one thinks little boys are going to grow up wanting to be a pilot, a fireman, policeman, or a cowboy. Not that there's any thing wrong with that, but I'd love to go into Gymboree and see a sleep lab manager or a computer guy or a brain surgeon on the pocket emblem. Now that's something I'd purchase!

Needless to say, we made it to Great Falls and Holden ended up looking adorable in this new hat. We brought our camera, but I forgot to charge the battery, so unfortunately, we got no pictures of the big outing. However, Holden spent the entire time in a daze. Mainly because we got there during his nap time. (Sorry Holden). On our way back to the car, he finally crashed out. And on the way home he ended up drinking from his sippy cup for the very first time! Yay! (Again, I got no pictures of this big moment).
