Sweet Sadie

Getting her EEG last Friday, after her seizure. Thought she was getting a "makeover" :)

On Wednesday Sadie had an MRI, as a result of a seizure a week ago today. Tim and I were so blessed to have a dear friend of ours watch the boys, so that we could both be with her for the procedure.

We got to Georgetown a little early, so we walked around the campus and got some sweet pictures of Tim and Sadie. The flowers there were so pretty.

She was set to have the MRI at 9:30am, but she didn't actually go in until nearly 11am because of another procedure ahead of her taking longer. Look at this face she is giving. It's so her. It makes me want to give her a hug.

Needless to say, toward the end, she got upset, hungry, and confused by the time it came for her to get her sedation IV, which was an awesome start to getting stuck :) That part was rough on her. I was surprised how long we were able to distract her- thanks to toys, coloring, Disney channel, and Netflix. Thank the Lord for electronics. Really. Despite the last hour or so of fussiness, we had an incredible experience at Georgetown, as always, with our nurses and the staff. I love them, especially one staff member in particular ;) They took such gentle care of our daughter and treated her just like she was their own. When our nurse wheeled her out, after the MRI, and she was just beginning to wake up, the nurse was patting her little bottom to calm her, just like I do. It made me feel good. She was a little out of it for the rest of the day, hence the tipsy look.

It was kind of funny.

We still haven't heard from the neurologist about the results, but they said it should be today. We will be sure to keep you posted. Thank you all for your prayers and encouragement during this time. We really appreciate it!
