We Volunteered

My sweet husband, Tim, just finished his book, We Volunteered. He started writing the book in 2007, right after Holden was born. I can't believe it's been 3 years in the making. Before Holden was born, Tim had already started throwing around the idea of writing a book for our children. His grandfather, a former prisoner of the Japanese, still had such a story to tell, especially to his descendents. The book is a biography of a remarkable man whom I never had the divine pleasure of meeting. Unlike a lot of Tim's family who will soon read this book, I felt like with each turn of the page, I was really getting to know "Carkeys" (as he was called) and now, even more so than before, am eternally grateful to him.

We are so excited! We ordered our first non-spiraled edition last night and are counting down the days until it arrives!
