Crazy!!!

What a crazy week it's been. I'd like to say that I can't wait until Saturday, but I'll say that I "can't wait until 3 Saturdays from now"- that's when Tim's finished teaching his summer classes. In the fall he'll be teaching on Monday evenings, so we'll have our coveted Saturdays back. Woo Hoo!

As you can see from the pictures, our first shipment of books arrived on Monday. It was very exciting. I can't believe it's really done! I'm so proud of Tim!
(I love the picture above, with Holden's tiny hand...)

So, after a quick conversation with Tim this morning, I think we've decided to fly to TX for Thanksgiving anyway. Which means we better get to hoppin on our tickets. Thanksgiving air-travel is a madhouse, I'm sure you know. Driving sounded like a good idea and I'm sure the drive there would be nice, but once we're relaxed, the 1500 mile drive home didn't sound that appealing. Ha! When I think about all the gear we travel with, it makes me want to re-think things, but if we take the shuttle to the airport and check everything, it's totally do-able. A double stroller is now a must! Some positives- Holden is potty-trained, so there's less diapers and wipes to pack & Fount will be off of muscle milk by then, so my carry-on bag will be much lighter.

Also, I have been planning on giving Fount a family "first birthday party," tentatively, the day before Thanksgiving, and I got to thinking...Holden will be turning 3 like a week later, so why not have a double celebration?! It's not every day your kids get to have almost all of their families at their parties when you live so far away, so I think we'll take advantage of it.
They'll love the cake and attention!
