May the centre hold and may the best be full of ‘passionate intensity.‘

You know you're getting rid of too much when your 4 year old wakes up in a panic begging you not to sell his beloved lamby and froggy. Oops!

I've been on a Craigslist/Goodwill roll for quite some time now. We were beginning to acquire quite a bit of stuff and I just decided, as soon as the kids outgrow something, I'm going to either sell it, donate it, or put it in the keepsake box if it falls into the very special, can't ever part with it category. Their keepsake box is actually very full :)

I love the idea of only living with the things that you love. I'm far from a minimalist, it's just not me, but I totally get it. We live in a town home and space is limited when you have five people. It feels so freeing to get rid of all the stuff. Right now, I'm in the middle of redoing the master bedroom. We got married in 2005, registered in 2004. I don't know if you remember the trend from then, but red and black was everywhere and practically everything we registered for was either red, black, or gray. I still love red, but for our master bedroom, I really want to start toning it down. So, cross your fingers that someone on Craigslist wants my bedding set, so I can get something more neutral. Next on my list is to paint my very bright red dresser, a much lighter color. I'm thinking of using Annie Sloan's chalkpaint. I'll be sure to post before and after pictures!

Wouldn't you love this master? So fun and put together!

This month I've been following Edie of life{in}grace's 31 days of Hospitality. I totally recommend following along. She has some wonderful insight and has a way of putting things in perspective, for the Christian woman living the real life- taking care of her family, running a household, homeschooling...the working mom. She's posted two about Hospitality beginning in the bedroom, Part 1 and Part 2 and they've been some of my favorites thus far. She's so right. She's only on day 10, so you have time to catch up!

Happy Thursday!

Today is our busy day, Tim works, then he teaches, then he is going to run TWENTY miles. Yes. 20 miles. Oh my gosh. While he's doing that, I'm going to be drinking hot tea on the couch in my jammies watching the debate. Don't you worry, I'll be giving him updates via Endomondo.
