This week has been crazy. All five of us have had cold/allergies. I'm not sure which. Tim and I seem to have been hit the hardest. On our way to Sadie's ENT appointment in DC on Wednesday morning, (Fount had already had a stomach issue that required a pull-up precaution), he threw up all over the car when we were in Arlington. If you're not from up around these parts, like myself, let me just tell you how it is...There is no overpass every mile or so where you can correct a missed exit. No fast food restaurants just off the highway exit where you can clean off your vomit-covered child. You just have to wait, and for me, that was driving all the way into Georgetown. I felt horrible about that, but there was really no where to pull over. Once we got to the hospital, Tim took Sadie and Holden to the appointment and I stayed and cleaned the car and Fount. It's taken me nearly three full years to realize that this little boy needs a full change of clothes, down to extra shoes, in the car at all times. He has a weak tummy, has been known to get a little carsick, and has stage fright in nearly every public restroom. So I threw an extra t-shirt in the car this morning, for just in cases :)
Tim is in Atlanta for a meeting. He'll be home soonish and I can't wait.
For now, I'm going to fold a load of laundry, do the dishes, and enjoy a cup of hot tea and watch something girly.
Tomorrow Sadie turns 18 months. Made me want to look back at when the boys were that age...
