Hi Ho! Hi Ho! It's off to work we go!

We ran lots of errands this morning. All to get the room and me ready for preschool. The kids are always such troopers. All they ask for is an Icee for "good behavior," of course. I like to give it to them in the beginning of the shopping trip, instead of at the end. I find it works much better if, in this case, the reward comes first.

So, today, I spent the afternoon finishing up our homeschool room. Thank goodness for the bookshelves Tim built in the dining room. They're coming in super handy. I'll be posting before and after pictures soon. Just doing a few more tweaks.

Fount was so sweet as I was setting things up. He kept holding the chair steady for me, as I hung the alphabet above our window seat. He said, "For safety sake." What a precious doll he is! I think he thinks he's starting preschool too. I bought him some workbooks to help him feel included. The material we'll be covering through Sonlight is great because it will be super easy for Fount to get involved.

I had forgotten to post this sweet picture from last weekend. It was my month to have dates with the boys. What a treasure they are!

Have I mentioned what a little chatter box Fount has become? He talks from sun up til sun down and he has this little tiny high pitch voice. I need to get him on camera more. I don't ever want to forget what he sounds like at this age.

I took these pictures of Holden on Tuesday. All of my homeschool curriculum arrived then and it was packed with all of this paper. This is what he came up with....

A uniform...

Sword...

And swagger to complete :)

I've been in this mindset of going back to work after the kids get into school, like 6 years away, but God had other plans. Doesn't He always? It's weird to be going back to work. I know for many people it may not sound like work, but it's going to be my job and I know it's going to be such a wonderful experience for our family. I'm looking forward to Monday! Wish us luck!

In the meantime, we're preparing to celebrate a beloved fella in this household...Mr. Davy Crockett, King of the Wild Frontier. Tomorrow would be his 226th birthday! We'll be going all out!
