This weekend

Five years ago, this weekend, Tim and I arrived in our new home of Washington, DC. It's hard to believe we've been here as long as we have. Time flies. Especially when we look back at all that has happened in the last 5 years. So much has changed! We've gone from 2 to 5!

The move-in day, is a day we will never forget. I wish we had have taken more pictures. Emotions were quite high, as you can imagine. We were moving into a studio we'd never seen before, and to top it all off, we had a Budget truck and trailor that we had to drive down tiny city streets, that we couldn't drop off. The Abilene Budget truck place gave us the address of a Budget center that didn't accept trucks- ugh! It sure was an experience! Looking back, 5 years later, the smartest thing to do would have been to drop the truck and trailor off at a Walmart in VA somewhere and go to Adams Morgan and have a drink(s)(lots of drinks). Instead, we unloaded Tim and the guy we paid, unloaded the truck while I stood in our studio and stared at our 450 sq. ft. getting smaller and smaller as our boxes poured in. After every thing was ulnoaded, we got in the truck and drove around in the rain for hours it seemed, trying to find another Budget place (This was pre-GPS). We found one in Maryland. It felt so good to get rid of it! Afterwards, for the next few days, we worked tirelessly unpacking every single one of our boxes. It felt like a game. I'd empty a box and throw it to Tim, as we were working in a maze. We laughed a lot, but I don't remember it being the funny kind of laugh :)

Fun memories!
Do we look a little different? Ha Ha!
