Lots of it

Let it snow!

It all began Friday morning around 9:30ish. It was a thick, slow, steady, wet snow that, at first, didn't stick much to anything but the snow that we already had. I'd say around 4pm it really started to pick up and started accumulating quick. By Saturday morning we already had 20 inches. I think when it was all said and done that we got around 3 feet or so. It's not going anywhere anytime soon, that's for sure. We're expected to get more snow later on this week, but nothing near like this. I don't know where we'd put it! Before everyone started shoveling, it was so beautiful. It looked like a winter wonderland!

Our front porch Saturday morning

Can you see our van?

Here's Tim making a path. It's still coming down!

Thank you!

Right up to the back door

It looks high here, but it got even higher. To put it in perspective- our fence is 6 ft. tall.

The cars

Bless Tim's heart. He's been out shoveling a total of a days work in all during this snow storm. On top of that, he's had to deal with a an annoying neighbor. I need not say more. If you can't say something nice, don't say anything at all, or so I've been told :)

Here's the leftovers of the yumminess I made yesterday afternoon. No, we didn't eat it all...I gave 2 pieces to our neighbors.

So the weekend's almost over. In a way, I was hoping the roads would be too bad for Tim to go to work tomorrow, but I think the highway is going to be fine. It's just been so nice to have him home. One last thing about our neighbor and then I'll stop bringing him up- he ticked off the snow plow guy and I don't think he's returning to clear out our development. Nice... Hopefully Tim really will be able to get out of here in the morning. Fingers crossed!

So did you give the piece of pie to the annoying neighbor or a different one? I don't know if he deserved the pie!

Holy Cow! So glad all are safe and the snopocalypse is over. Did you lose power? I saw the official record at Dulles was 32 inches...almost impossible to imagine! Keep warm out there on the right Coast!

The pie went to our nice neighbors :)

So far we've managed to keep power! Thank goodness!
