Youch!!!

Happy 4 month birthday, Holden!

Yesterday was Holden's 4 month well baby visit and he did great! He weighs 13 lbs, 11 oz, and is 25 1/2 in long. He also had to get four shots, including one immunization taken by mouth, which he hated. Thank goodness Tim and I were both there because his response to the shots was just pitiful. It breaks your heart like you can't explain when your child has to feel pain. He slept until we got home and then was his normal self the rest of the evening. He had a rough night, though. He just wanted to eat and be held. Who can blame him? Shots hurt! I think he must have been sore because this morning his thighs have two little red knots :( He's also running a low grade fever.

We're going to start him on rice cereal this evening, which will be interesting. I'm anxious to see what he thinks about it. I'm sure we'll take lots of pictures of his reaction!
