Holden tried rice cereal last Thursday (April 10th). As you can tell from the picture above, he wasn't too into it. Tim videoed it, so I'm sure we'll post it at some point. The doctor said that we could start him on solids at 4 months, so we thought we'd give it a shot and see what Holden thought about it. At first taste, he wasn't so sure. As of today, he's had a total of 4 feedings and seems to be tolerating it (but just barely). After this morning's feeding, I think we're going to try this food thing again at 6 months, like I had planned. For now, milk is his pleasure!Tim's parents, brother Steve, and his wife Brittany will be coming on Thursday for a visit. This will be Steve and Brittany's first time to meet Holden. They sure are in for a lot of entertainment!

Yay for Holden! What a good sport. Eating must be such a shock to a system that's only had liquid before...no wonder he wants to stick with what works! Have a great time with the family and I hope to see some TX pics. (YOu already went, right?) Missed you this las Wednesday!
