Morning y'all

We've been up for a while now, at least Sadie and I have. She woke up before the sun came up, so she's already ready for her morning nap and I'm onto my second cup of coffee.

We're in the depths of potty training at the Ruses this week. Holden was a cinch to potty train and Fount needs a bribe, a twist of the arm, and a gentle push. AKA: treat jar! Tim came up with the idea to have him pee on pieces of toilet paper with flies and spiders drawn on them. Genius! He's actually been doing very well, except for that major poop on the floor yesterday. Blah. All in all, he's doing so good.

Yesterday Fount had his very first dentist appointment. I truly can't say enough good things about this practice. They're so sweet with the kids. Thank goodness, Tim met me there and took the other kids, so I could focus on Fount. I learned my lesson with Holden. He had a freak out at his appointment last week and I just happened to have went by myself. Clearly a mistake. People were looking at me like I had my hands full. Ha! Thankfully, his didn't last the entire appointment, like Fount's did. After it was all over, Fount seemed to forget how bad he was making it out to be. I think the new toothbrush, prize, and floss sticks did the trick. The dentist said that he has a small pallet, what could turn into an overcrowding of his adult teeth, and almost an under bite. Woo! Bless his heart...I think he has his Mommy's mouth, as I dealt with braces and the dreaded pallet expander, myself. Unfortunately, I hear they're still torturing kids with those. Gosh, I hope he doesn't have to go that route.
This morning we're off to our first summer playgroup through our church. I think the kids are really going to enjoy it. The theme is the fruits of the spirit. I was trying to explain it to Holden yesterday by singing this song. He just stared at me.
Did anyone else sing this song when they were younger?
