Vacation

I'm so ready for a vacation!

It'll be the first for our family of 5 and we're all getting very excited! In a monthish we're going to head down to Oklahoma to visit Tim's side of the family. Yes, we'll be roadtripping it :) We're expecting it to take us 3 days. We'll see Tim's parents, both of his brothers and their wives, our 2 nephews, and our niece that is slightly younger than Sadie. The kids are anxious to get to playing with their cousins!

The day after we arrive, Tim and his two older brothers are going to fly to Texas (where his parents live) and help move them to Oklahoma. They've lived in their current house for over 30 years and are moving to Oklahoma to be closer to Tim's brothers and their families, so the move will be bittersweet for them. I think it will be special for his parents to have all three of the boys with them as they say goodbye to their home.

In the meantime, Tim and I will be looking for special places to stop on our way down to Oklahoma. I'm hearing something about Davy Crockett in TN :)

~Organizing Made Fun's road trip~

This has nothing to do with traveling, but a friend of mine (the mother of the girl in the picture below) sent this to me. This is of Holden on Sunday, just before his Hosanna performance. The older Holden gets, the more confident and outgoing he becomes. I love that about him. We went to a Karaoke get together at church last weekend and Holden got up on the stage several times, microphone and all and sang all by himself- Come Thou Fount of Every Blessing, and a song from O Brother Where Art Thou. He just loves being in the spot light and his just so friendly. Makes me proud.
