Introducing Miss Sadie Jane Ruse

39 weeks, 2 days

The day I went to the hospital for the induction.

So excited!

When I arrived at the hospital, the doctor told me that they could begin the induction process whenever we wanted, instead of waiting until the next morning. Of course we jumped on that! Around 8pm we got the ball rolling and within just a couple of hours, without pitocin, my labor began. About 8am, on Tuesday morning, my water broke and I could tell that I was close to having her. I asked for my doctor at 9am. At 9:15am, she checked me and I was fully dilated. When the doctor was getting her table ready, Sadie decided she was ready to come out, so she did. Without a single push, our daughter quickly made her debut! And she is just perfect!

Day 3

The boys greeted their little sister with shirts that read- "Big Brother" and "Middle Brother"

Day 4

First bath at home

First real outting- to the doctor for her check-up.

She had gained two ounces, since leaving the hospital. She weighed 6 pounds, 3 ounces.

Day 5

Yesterday was a crazy day. We had a lovely photographer come to take pictures of Miss Sadie. She spent 4 very patient hours with us and I can't wait to see the pictures! She'll post a sneak peek of the pictures on her blog and in 2-3 weeks, she'll have all of the pictures on her site. I'll be sure to post the link to our pictures! Day 6

She is such a sweet baby. Just as easy going as I knew she would be. Tim and I are overflowing with happiness and thankfulness for the healthy children God has blessed us with.
