A little less color

I am so tired of the color red. I love the color red, but I have too much of it in the house. It was the color to use when Tim and I were registering for our wedding, so needless to say, we have a lot of it still hangin around. Our dining room is a shade of red and it's bothering me. I need something brighter, so if we buy this house, that's one of the first things we're changing. We have this incredible bay window in the dining room. It lets so much light in, but it would look so much better with a lighter color. I'm starting to be drawn to shades of gray...green...and naturals. They're so refreshing. Yesterday I listed the red and old pillows on Craigslist and someone picked them up almost immediately. It felt so good to get rid of them. Holden, though, is a bit sentimental... I put them on the front porch for the lady to come pick them up and he brought them back inside. It was kind of sad. Now I need to make a trip to the fabric store and break out the good 'ole sewing machine. After I got rid of all the pillows, minus a couple of favs, I realized that it's now looking a little blank. I think I'm going to go with some cool green tones and patterns.

This is the beautiful cherry tree we have the pleasure of looking at out our bay window.

I love spring. It makes me want to reorganize :)
