22 weeks

Some people get stretch marks. Some get dark, patchy skin. I get these..."Grandmother veins," I call them. This happens to be an exceptionally good picture of them. On the days that I'm running around, it looks like someone has hit me with a baseball bat. As soon as I gave birth to Holden, the bulginess of them went away. I'm hoping the same thing happens this time around.
Here's me at week 22 and feeling great! Baby boy has started to move a lot at nighttime. I think he's just now big enough to be felt on my tummy. If I'm remembering correctly, with Holden, this is about the time where I could feel myself getting bigger by the day.

Holden is going to make such a wonderful big brother! He's growing up so fast. I know I say that at least every month, but he really is. Last night as we were eating dinner, he pointed to a painting of Mt. Vernon and said, "Washington," as plain as day. We were flabbergasted. We had only told me that was Washington's house once over a month ago.
I love him. And I so look forward to having two sons. Not only is it a new experience for me because I'm a new mom, but I grew up with a sister. I loved dolls, clothes, jewlery, and all that froo froo stuff. Having two sons is such an honor. I get to raise men. Men who will be providers, protectors, and productive members of our society. I pray that's always never too far from my heart.

So sorry about the veins. At least they will go away when he gets here... Your tummy is so cute! I can't wait to see what he looks like. I bet he looks a lot like Holden. :)

Thanks, Steph!
I can't wait to see what he looks like. From the sonogram pictures, he and Holden have the same profile, but really, what can you tell from those? :)
