Chapter 2

Well the once known breastaholoic (to my play group friends) is now on the road to sobriety. I started weaning Holden today. And so far so good. I figured it was time since he can say things like "burr," "dog," and "shoes." Even though nursing is one of those last precious baby things to hang on to, I really feel strongly about weaning at 12 months. Cutting the cord. Easing them in to independence. It just makes sense. For them, and for you. Plus, I'm ready to start going to concerts again :) Seriously, I don't know of any one who wants to end up like this little girl. It's one thing to be able to wobble over to your mommy, lift up her shirt, and ask for it, but to be doing multiplication tables...that's clearly another story. I could go on and on about the type of ladies this woman is raising, but I'll save you the rant. If you haven't watched this video before, set aside 5 minutes and a trashcan.

Where's my trashcan--don't know if I have one big enough!
