Holden started getting congested about a week ago and it's progressively gotten worse. When he sleeps, he sounds like a 300 pound man with undiagnosed sleep apnea. I won't get into the yucky details. I'm sure the title gives it away. However, last night, he started coughing horribly, so we called the dr and did a rotation of keeping him in the steamy bathroom and then going outside. I don't think it made a huge difference with his congestion, but, thankfully, he was able to get some sleep. I took him to the doctor this morning and got the "ride it out" answer and some medicine for his cough. "Riding it out" is tough when you're a little guy. As a parent, you want to take the place of your child when they're sick and hurting and when you can't do that, you want to do every thing in your power to make them feel better and when you can't do much, it just breaks your heart.
If every parent taught their kids to sneeze and cough into their arm, wouldn't the world be a much cleaner place?
