The Ruse Family: My baby is three

On Thursday, I went to bed replaying my pregnancy with Fount, my labor, his birth...All so perfect and beautiful. Just like him.

This is my one of my most favorite pictures of us from the hospital. He was about an hour old.

He really did look three when he woke up on Friday.

Squinty, but three.

Oh...it went by so very fast!

To celebrate, we went to The Silver Diner~ our family birthday tradition! Then we hopped in the car and road tripped it to Baltimore. Fount has just recently became interested in dolphins. He wants to swim with them. Sweet, hu? So we took him to the Baltimore Aquarium. It was really impressive.

At three, he is just as sweet as he ever was. His personality has always been just that~ tender and caring.

He has the voice of an angel. I love to hear him sing...Maybe one day the kids will start a band...Bluegrass, maybe?

He's a little chatterbox, extra ticklish, very silly, loves to clean, hates getting the tear-free soap in his eyes at bathtime :)He loves little army men/pilot-men, cars, and anything Holden does. He puts lots of things in those pockets of his. He's quick to pick out a pretty leaf that he thinks mommy would like, is a sucker for acorns. He's at that incredibly curious stage. It's just began :) He memorizes his bible verses for Cubbies with ease, plays hard with Holden, and takes care of Sadie and every one else in our home with the utmost gentleness. And he's been tending to his sister with just that since he was 17 months old. He's amazing.

Everywhere we go, people tell us how smart and well-behaved, you are. They are so right! You're always singing. Right now you sing, "Come Thy Fount of Every Blessing" and "Nothing But the Blood of Jesus." You are so loved, my little cuddle bug. Thank you for your sweet disposition. You have a heart for others. It's in your soul. I can't wait to see what the Lord has for you! Daddy and I are so proud of you and blessed to be your parents! It's our honor to walk this journey alongside you.
