Before I show you our homeschool room, I wanted to give you an update on Sadie Jane. We went to the doctor yesterday. It went just as I expected :) Holden cried and Fount held her hand, giving the stink eye to the doctor every time he came in. The lab work was tough on her. She started crying as soon as we walked in the office, bless her heart. Her WBC went down, but not as much as they had hoped. She ended up getting two more shots...Had a reaction :( So they had to give her benadryl. I thought she would surely be exhausted from the past two nights of barely any sleep, but no. She was practically up the whole night. She and I ended up watching Brothers and Sisters and played, until she got sleepy. It was rough. I'm praying tonight is better for her. Eating has been difficult, as she has bumps all down her throat, but despite that, she is playing today and pretty happy. I'm thinking we caught whatever was brewing just in time.
This is our first year doing homeschool, so I anticipate lots of change in our school room. For now, It's semi-finished, so I thought I would share it with y'all. It's cloudy today and we don't have overhead lighting, so some of the pictures are a little dark.
This area isn't exactly how I want it to look- refined, but, for now, it serves it's purpose. Memory verse of the week, Class Schedule, Calandar, Letter of the week...
I found these mini chalkboards on etsy. There were a million colors to pick from, but I just had to have red :) I love that they're made in the US by someone named Jenni and not someone in China.
It's only been a week. Our first week. A crazy week, but oh so special. On Thursday, Holden asked Jesus into his heart! We are so happy and proud and excited for him. I have a ton to write on that, so a very special blog post is soon to come :)
