Potty Prize

When our kids are successfully potty trained, we reward them with a prize- anything they want. At this age, that's a safe thing to say. They never ask for much, at least that's the case for Fount. He rarely asks for anything, unlike Holdie :)

We've been asking him for about a week, "What do you want for your potty prize?" And he keeps saying, "A sticker," which is a common prize for him when he goes to the potty. After explaining to him, on Monday, that he could have anything..."Fount, if you could do or have anything in the world, what would it be?" He responded, "I want to go to Air and Space and ride on one of those airplane rides with Daddy and Holdie."

My heart broke, slightly, at his request. We've been going to the Air and Space Museum for years and never once has he ever asked to ride on one of the simulators.

Tim said that when the ride was over, he was trying to break through the people to be the first one out of the ride. In fact, before the door was even opened, I could hear him yelling. He was amazed at his trip to space and couldn't wait to tell me all about it! :) When he came off of the ride, you would have thought he had won the best prize there was! A trip to space.

To remember the occassion, we let him pick out a space shuttle.

Congratulations, baby! You're a big boy now!

Quote of the week thus far:

Sunday~ While watching a moving scene from The Rookie between Dennis Quaid and his father, Holden was overcome with great emotion, saying-

Holden: "I have tears coming out of my eyes."
