Sadie's 12 month well visit really snuck up on me.
52 weeks old
*Modesty Alert: Please do not put this picture on facebook. |
At her appointment, she was 29 3/4 inches long (73rd percentile) and weighed 19 pounds, 15.6 ounces (32nd percentile).
At one year old she is starting to say lots of little words:
Mama
Mommy (this is what she calls me)
Da Da
Daddy (this is what she calls Tim)
Dough Dough (she started calling Holden that last night)
Night Night
Hi
Baby
I think that's all...
Oh, she signs "please," "more," and she does the milk sign when she wants me to pick her up.
Of course she claps for herself :)
She's also getting more and more confident with walking. It makes her so excited when she walks. Yesterday she started trying to go really fast, almost like she was trying to run and she would start making a panting sound. So funny!
The doctor was still a bit concerned with her weight gain, but I'm totally not. She nurses and eats really well.
She's also managed to sleep the whole night for quite some time now. Yay! I'll cherish it, as I know she'll be getting another tooth soon, I'm sure!
I told the doctor that she loves every kind of food. In fact, there isn't a food she has tried that she hasn't liked. Our doctor wants us to come in for a weight check, if she doesn't look like she is gaining in between now and her 15 month well visit. In the meantime, we're suppose to add more fatty foods to her diet for a little while. I love feeding her healthy foods, so I'm having a difficult time thinking of healthy fats to give her...Avocados, Olive Oil, Fish?...any ideas?
