A chocolatey kind of day

Easter morning began bright and early for us. Actually...it was still dark outside. I had big plans for the kids' Easter baskets (poor Sadie didn't even get one :( just a bunny) , but, for this year, I gave in to filling it with nearly all things chocolate. The boys didn't seem to mind.

Fount was pleasantly surprised to start his day off with a yummy Reeses or two or three or seven...

We tried to get a picture before we left for church, but the boys were on the downside of their chocolate high and the "cheese" they gave us only lasted about half a second- not long enough to take a picture. Oh well.

The boys couldn't wait to hunt Easter eggs, so we got right to it as soon as we got home from church.
Tim did an excellent job of hiding the eggs :) Our yard is quickly looking like spring- even without planting a single flower yet- it was perfect for Easter egg hunting!

Last weekend, Tim worked on the backyard. He was blessed with a green thumb! He even created a special spot for the boys' playhouse.
Isn't it cute?

Here's what Miss Sadie did during the Easter egg hunt-

Look!
Eggs!
Tim keeps looking in the birdhouse hole and the bird has flown out at him just about every time. It's pretty funny! He keeps trying to get me to look inside. Not going to happen. He talked Holden into it and the same thing happened to him. He thought it was pretty funny!

Had to have an Easter picture with my darling little girl!

This is what the boys did while I was making the lunch they hardly ate-
more chocolate, of course!

It's a wonder they didn't get tummy aches.
Yes, we were those parents who let them eat every piece of candy. It made for some happy people- all the way around too :)

I was actually a little jealous of this chocolate-covered little guy. I'm on a no dairy, no tomatoey/spicy, no anything kind of diet for the little Sadie girl's sensitive tummy. As soon as I can eat all things dairy again, there's a good possibility you may find me looking like this-
Hope you all had a very happy Easter!

It looks like a wonderfully chocolatey day. And even Sadie enjoyed her day, I'm sure. Meagan, you look great! and the backyard looks awesome--great job, Tim! Happy Easter to you all.
