Say ee

With just 59 days to go (so they claim), we have just about every thing for Miss Sadie. The only stuff we lack is getting her room together, which isn't going to happen by the time she gets here, so, I guess we're all ready. I started doing a little bit in the room yesterday morning. It's fun to watch the pink stuff arise in our house. I washed the last bit of her things yesterday. Ahhhh I can't believe we're having a girl! Holden told me this morning- "I will rock her in the recliner...kiss her...and give her love...she will be sweet." Isn't he precious? He truely is going to be my little helper. He does so much already. Each day that passes, I'm realizing how quickly this childhood thing goes by. He seems so big now! Fount too!- He even says, "Say-ee" now and "Bay Bee."

Holden's also been asking me, lately, if it's time to go to the hospital for Sadie to be born. He hasn't asked how she gets here yet. And as open as we intend to be with the boys about sex, "peenies," and "ladies"...(Don't laugh, you know you don't use the correct terms either)...I just don't think I'm ready or he's ready to hear anything other than, "She just comes out," or atleast that's what I'm sticking with. I'm pretty sure he thinks it has something to do with my belly button...and my belly button looks crazy right now.

On Sunday, my closest friends here threw me a surprise baby shower at our monthly Mom's Night Out- or atleast it was going to be a surprise, until I cancelled for two minutes and they had to tell me :) When I became pregnant with Holden and went to a Transition to Motherhood class at church, I met these wonderful women and we just clicked and we've been friends ever since! During the shower, my three friends, each, prayed separately- one for my labor and delivery, one for Sadie, and one for our family. It was so special! And after each prayer, I opened a gift. They were all such thoughtful gifts! Ones that remind me of each of my friends. Since our camera is MIA, my friend Liz, took pictures for me. I can't wait to see them! It was the sweetest, most thoughtful baby shower. Someday I look foward to telling Sadie just how much she was prayed over before she was born.

59 days and counting!

That is so sweet! The boys are really ready for a precious baby sister. So is Nana!

Sounds wonderful! Those friends of yours are just great. :) Of course they spoiled you--and your sweet little one. Wish I could have joined you all--it reminds me of when we were all pregnant w/ #2! (and waaaaay back when we were all pregnant w/ #1). :)
