Nesting

I've been in serious nesting mode lately, but come to think of it, I'm always in some type of nesting mode. I think that comes along with the fact that I'm a stay-at-home mom and I'm constantly rearranging and organizing- trying to make things easier/look better. (And I'm a little hooked on design shows and Better Homes and Gardens). Tim says everyday he comes home, something is different and as much as I'd like to argue, he's actually right.

I organized Holden's closet yesterday. Hopefully it will stay this way... Before yesterday, we had a changing table inside the closet that we used for shelving. It really took up a lot of room and wasn't as accessible because of the sliding doors.

(If you are viewing this and you are a family member who will be purchasing a Christmas present for the boys...Please notice how little space we have :) We love you!)

If it weren't for Sadie needing to be in Fount's room, I would have, surely, already started on her room, but that's not really an option right now. When Fount gets old enough (by the time he's two or just about), he and Holden will begin sharing a room. We'll have to take down the bunkbeds and swap out dressers (for the one that's in Fount's room now). Until then, Sadie will be in our room in the cradle.

Here are some pictures of our little man's room:

The futon's served its purpose, but it takes up so much room...

This is the dresser that will be going into Holden's room:

Notice Tim's teautiful artwork. He's a man of many talents, that's for sure!

And here are some pictures of Holden's big boy room, that I can't believe I haven't posted yet!

Here's his art wall. All but one is done by Tim.

And the most prized possession of all...

I have so many ideas for her room....
Curtains
Bow Holder my mom found that will hang on her wall:

Bedding. I really love these crib sets. It's just so hard to decide when you have the option of picking your own fabric. I think I'll wait until we go to TX for Christmas and I look around a couple of shops there before I (and Tim) make our decision. (Ha Ha) I'm pretty set on the "minky dot strawberry" fabric for the sheets. I just can't picture Sadie laying on any other color!

Also, how much do you love this nursery?
Dicky, Sarah, and Molly. What makes me love this nursery so much is because I love Sarah and I know how sweet she is and how loving this room feels just from the pictures-a feeling you hope lies in all your children's rooms. Some of her decor is actually something I can incorporate into Sadie's room. My mom sent me 3 of my baby outfits. One I plan on framing and hanging above her crib, and the others, I plan on hanging up on the wall, under a shelf. I also have some baby blankets, dolls, etc. of mine that I'll use somehow in her room.

The nursery that's making me wanna hop to it: A Country Farmhouse

As much as it pains me to wait on Sadie's room :) I have to wait until she's almost here to do much, because whatever I do, our sweet boy, Fount, will have to tolerate. And, plus, he's already sleeping so good that I don't want to throw him off by taking out and switching up his room too soon. So I'll probably just stick with the closet area, since it closes. In the meantime, we'll be selling the futon that's in Fount's room now, so we'll clear out some space. Once that's gone, we'll be switching out the dressers in the boy's rooms and moving the long black one into what will be Sadie's room. We'll use it as a changing table while she's little.

I think I'll always find it funny that just a couple of weeks after we closed on our 3 bedroom house, I became pregnant with Sadie. While the boys are small, I think they'll enjoy sharing a room. I think they'll be good for eachother- Fount goes to sleep like a dream, and likes to wake up early. Holden wants us to relax him to sleep, and likes to sleep in. Maybe it'll work? I can just picture them giggling and telling secrets late at night- so special.
