Long time no see

I didn't realize it had been so long since I last posted. Get ready- There are a ton of pictures to see! We've been pretty busy here at the Ruse household. Blogging, emailing, phone calls, and thank you notes have been severely neglected. I really need to get to all those... Goody and Pa (Tim's parents) were here visiting last week. They were such a wonderful help. I had laparoscopic surgery on Monday, so it was nice to have them here to help Tim while I've been out of commission. It definitely wasn't a major surgery, by any means, but I've been surprised how long it's taking me to feel like doing much. The day before my surgery was to take place, I got a call from my doctor, saying that she had the stomach flu...I was so sad that she wasn't going to be performing my surgery, but so thankful that her partner was able to squeeze me in the same time, same day- how lucky was that?! For the past four years, every doctor I've been to has called the pain and symptoms that I've been experiencing- endometriosis. Several women in my family have the disease, so it's quite easy to assume, without surgery that I do too. Monday's surgery was to explore, diagnose, and remove any endometriosis. Without talking directly to the doctor, all the resident told Tim is that they found no endometriosis, which is more than wonderful news, but without that diagnosis, we're still left wondering what's next, so back to the drawing board we go. We have an appointment with my doctor on the 27th, so I'm optimistic.

The boys sure enjoyed having Goody and Pa around for entertainment.

Playing his favorite thing- "hopscotch," as he says.

I like to picture it like this- Here's Tim and I walking down the hill in our backyard with our dream home in the background...

A good day for flyin a kite!

I can't wait to go back. It's truely breathtaking!

Glad the surgery went well! Hopefully they will find what is giving you trouble soon. I've missed your blogs and facebook postings! Started wondering where you were!
