It's been about 2 weeks since the little precious turned 4 months old and I've been behind on posting his growth update. He weighed 15 lbs, 2 oz. (50th percentile), and was 26 1/4 inches long (90th percentile). I was surprised at how long he was, though I shouldn't be. He's already grown out of his 3-6 month things. Since we had our boys in the same season, I was almost positive that I wouldn't have to buy any clothes for Fount, but one thing's for sure, different babies--different bodies, so shopping we will go! He's a good eater. For the longest time, during he day, he's wanted to eat every 2 hours and that's from the beginning of one feeding to the beginning of the next, but lately, he's started spacing his feedings out longer, which is really nice. He, like Holden, is a wonderful sleeper- going to bed around 7:30pm, sleeping until 5am for a bottle, and then going back to sleep until around 7:15am. I'm very blessed with good sleepers. I never take that for granted. Speaking of sleep- last night Holden asked me to rock him, like old times. How could I resist? He goes down all on his own, and has for quite a while now, but I do, find myself missing that special time we shared every night while we cuddled and I sang to him. So, last night we went in Fount's room and got settled in our old rocker, legs hanging well over the arms of the chair, but he didn't seem to mind. Made me realize how quickly my boys are growing.
Here's a few pictures of Fount from this month:
And here's a few posts from when
Holden was
4 months. I don't think we're going to start cereal, this time around, until he's around 5 1/2 months old. 4 months, for Holden, just seemed too early and we ended up waiting until 6 months for him after all the gagging and tongue thrusting.
April 2008
He loved being on his tummy. In fact, he was already trying to scoot! Fount's just now getting more use to tummy time (raising up on his arms and hands), but he'd definitely rather be standing, that's for sure. He wants to be where he can see every thing.
Here's Holden and Tim after bathtime last night.
