Last night we went to see a Christmas light show at Bull Run park about 2 miles from our house. Again- the key to getting rid of paci is sleepiness. It's totally worked for us. Anyway, on the way to light show, Tim and I hear Holden, "I gotta wake up..." Hilarious! Bless his heart. He really was tired, but he perked right up as soon as we pulled up. This was my first light show to go through that didn't have a nativity scene. No religious anything. Every thing has to be so politically correct sometimes...Anyway, I kept thinking it would be at the end of the show, but it wasn't...Around the end, Holden pointed to a lite Christmas package and said, "Happy Birthday, Jesus!" I couldn't kiss his little head fast enough. He's always teaching me things.
You saw the pictures on the previous blog- Holden conked out in the recliner. Can you believe we woke that sweet boy up to go to church? Well, we did...We had been planning on going to our church's Christmas Eve family service and we didn't want to miss it. We just didn't plan on Holden falling asleep an hour before we needed to be heading out. As soon as we got in the car, he was his normal, happy-go-lucky self, but before...
After church, and a quick dinner, Holden and I got cookin! We made cookies for Santa and our local firefighters. It was so much fun! Holden adores helping in the kitchen! Since our family is still on the young side, we decided that bringing cookies to the firehouse would be the best way for our family to serve this holiday season. Don't worry, I set aside non-toddler licked cookies for the firefighters.
Couldn't be more happier!

This is what he did most of the time...
