Two Weeks Old

Fount turned two weeks old yesterday and, I swear he's changing by the second. He's already starting to try to make those sweet "goo" sounds. We went to the dr the Friday after we brought him home and got a good report. He left weighing 6 pounds, 11 ounces. After several days of having him home and comparing eating habits with Holden's at the same age, I was convinced that our sweet baby must have reflux, so we went back to the dr, and, sure enough, were sent home with a prescription for Zantac. We started the dosage on Friday, and as of today, I'm thinking that we're going to need to try something different. Prevacid??? I've heard good things about that. I've dropped dairy from my diet (Which is incredibly hard. What is there to eat when you can't put cheese on it? I'm a Southern girl. Everything I know how to cook has cheese/ sour cream/ cream cheese in it!) Anyway, I'm giving it a week and then I'm calling the dr. Hopefully the next medication to try will give my little guy some relief.

So do you think they favor one another?

Last week we got our pictures taken at Clix in Arlington. It was so exciting to take our very first professional family picture! We pick up the pictures on Thursday, so we'll be sure to scan them and post them as soon as we can. They turned out really great. We even got a naked baby picture of Fount! I wonder how many years I can get away with putting it in a frame?

I can't believe how much they look a like! Wow! He is precious!

We tried prevacid and zantac. The zantac worked better for Anslee. Reflux is no fun! Hope that his does not last for long and that you guys find the magic medicine for him!

Congrats a million times!

They do look a lot alike! I can't believe that 2 weeks has already gone by...

Reflux. Yuck! Gavin had it. It wasn't severe enough to have to treat it, and we just had to keep him propped up after all feedings for 30 minutes. I hope the medicine will work or you can find something else. I think I might pass out without dairy! Can you do soy?!

Great, great pictures! I am so sorry about Fount's reflux. Ugh. Hopefully he'll outgrow it soon. And oh my, those boys could be twins! Amazing how much they look alike as newborns. Thanks for sharing--we miss being a more regular part of your lives so it's great to see how all are doing. :)
