Thanksgiving was wonderful! We pulled out all the stops! Using our china, crystal, flatware, and every thing! It was just perfect. Last year was Holden's first Thanksgiving, so we started a tradition of writing what we're thankful for in a sharpie on a table cloth. We even put his handprint on it, so it was neat to put his hand over his nearly 12 month old baby hand and see the difference. This year our family as grown. We've gained another son and are thankful beyond measure.
As I mentioned above, we sold our car. Our 4-door family car. We couldn't be happier! Although it was a 4-door and there's only 4 of us, it was really starting to close in on us. Since we sold the car on a Sunday night, it's kind of a pain to try to buy another car in the middle of the week. Not to mention battling the traffic while we look. So, Tim, the wonderful man that he is, is being a trooper and commuting this week to work so that we can have the other car here for emergencies. For him that means: walk to the bus, bus to metro, metro to bus, bus to hospital. Yikes! But you won't get a complaint out of him (Just one of the many reasons I love him so much).
Before Tim and I got married, I told him specifically, "Don't make me drive a mini-van." Mainly because I didn't want to be that mom. You know the ones I'm talking about. Does "mom jeans" ring a tune? Anyway, that's what we're looking at. Not mom jeans. But a mini-van. (Speaking of jeans, I've finally made it into a pair of pre-preggo jeans! They're not flattering as of yet, but they're getting there...) Tim and I were talking last night and realized, I didn't want a mini-van all those years ago because I thought I was cool, but now that I'm no longer cool, it's a safe purchase. I just have to refuse the desire to adorn my van with honor roll bumper stickers and stick family figures. I never get the honor roll sticker thing. As soon as you put it on your car, it's almost a given that your kid's going to get a B and then what do you do? It's like you're driving with a lie on your car. That's almost as bad as flipping off someone when you have an ichthys on your bumper.

I LOVE your Thanksgiving tradition of the handprints. I might have to copy that! I don't blame you for getting the mini-van at all. We got a trail-blazer and it even feels small at times. A mini-van will be really nice!!
