Samuel ("Asked of God") Fount ("Source of blessing", "Source of good") Ruse

Fount arrived right in time for his due date. My contractions began right after I went to bed on Sunday night. After timing them for two hours, we called the doctor when they were around 4 1/2 minutes apart and were told to come in. We got to the hospital a little before 2am and when they checked me, I was already dilated to a 4. Woo hoo! But after several hours of no change in dilation, I got pitocin. Once the pitocin kicked in, it didn't take long for me to fully dilate. After less than 30 minutes of pushing, our precious Fount was born at 12:03pm. He weighed 6 pounds, 14 ounces, and was 19 1/4 inches long and as beautiful and as sweet as ever. I can't say enough positive things about my labor and delivery experience at Georgetown. I had the most wonderful and encouraging doctors and nurses that I could have ever asked for.

One day old

Day two
Getting ready to go home and meet big brother Holden.

The three boys

First family picture
Fount is such a sweet baby. Very quiet and cuddly. Reminds me a lot of how Holden was at this age-- in looks and personality. Watching Holden and Fount together is the most wonderful thing in the world. I can't wait to post more about our days with our boys in the days, weeks, and years to come.
