Over the past month of so, Holden has turned in to be quite the little helper. He helps me load and unload the dishes, stir the tea...He even started wiping down the coffee table with a dish cloth. I seriously thought he could not get any cuter. Isn't it funny how you go about your day, so often, not even realizing that your little one is watching every move you make and mimicking you. For a one year old, he's quite efficient. Now he stirs any thing and every thing. He's always walking around with either a wooden spoon or drumstick in hand, (Which has turned out to be his favorite toy. An orange drumstick. He takes it every where. Thanks, Tim and Jenn!) stirring away.

Another favorite for him is this old cell phone. I swore up and down that I'd never let him play with real electronics, but after seeing how happy he was once we gave him the "real deal," it didn't matter so much any more. After ruining the 7, 4, and at one time 9, on a cell phone of ours, I do have to keep an eye on him around electronics. He's recently learned how to climb into chairs. Yesterday I was fixing him lunch and I turned around and he was at the computer desk. Looked like he was checking his email.
There's one thing he's not so sure about helping out with and that is the
vacuuming. When he was a baby, he didn't mind at all. I'd put him in the sling, scoot around the house, and he'd be sound asleep. I think it was when he hit 5 months that he started getting afraid of it. Week by week he's getting more OK with it. It use to be no big deal, I'd just give in, put him on my hip and go, but now
vacuuming has become more like a work out if I do that, so today I sat him on the couch and this is what he looked like-

terrified.

Poor Holden. His face is priceless! He needs to come over and watch Rachel push our vaccuum around. She loves it, now my hair dryer, I have to convince her it's not hurting me. She used to love it too. How they change!
Ha Ha! Holden use to cry when I used my hair dryer, now it doesn't bother him a bit. It is funny how they change! (Meagan)
Hilarious!
