Changes

I can already tell that Tim and I are up for seeing lots of change in this next year of Holden's life. Part of me wants to hang on to all the baby things that he does and then, the other part of me, the big part of me, anticipates all things new. Makes me wonder if I'll feel a lot of "bitter-sweet" throughout these growth years. As I watched the video Tim made for Holden's birthday, I was blown away by how much he grew in just one year. Talk about change! When I think about what all he'll be able to do when he's 2- his alphabet...count...know his shapes...Tim and I will get to teach Holden all those things. What an honor! The icing in all that is that I get to parent alongside my very best friend in the whole world. I get so excited because I'm going to get to be there for every one of those milestones. I'm not going to miss it. And I remind myself of that every second I get. Every day he does something new and I will always be thankful that I get to be with him through it all, even the poop explosions. Not only is he now walking, which, by the way, is an amazing thing to watch, but he has now begun snacks. I know that doesn't sound like a big deal, but it's just one more thing that makes him a big boy.

Holden loves to help with the dishes! He's such a clean little boy-even wants to wash his books!

This is a great picture of your sweet boy. And I can't believe he wants to wash his books. That's awesome! He'll be the boy on the playground with his own hand sanitizer and the only one without a runny nose. Congrats! :)
