7 Months Old

Last night, because of teething, I was up at 12:30am, which is just about the exact time, 7 months ago, that he graced the world. Looking down at him in his crib, all stretched out, hands resting comfortably behind his head, I found myself overwhelmed with such unexplainable love...Gave me just a glimpse of the kind of love God has for each of us.

For the past 3 days, Holden's been getting up on his hands and knees and rocking back and forth. It is so exciting to watch him do this because he knows he's doing something new. He just looks up at us and smiles, like, "Look at what I can do!" I guess it's time to break down and buy all the "must have" baby proof items.

On Monday, Holden started vegetables. After the first bite, he proceeded to close his mouth up tight. Yesterday, to my surprise, he ate all his yams and even drank his water. I decided that since he likes to drink bath water so much, that I'd fill his sippy with luke warm water instead. Success! He chugged it, like...well...you know :)

Did I mention that Holden's been saying, "mamamama" and "da"? I think those have to be the sweetest sounds in the whole wide world? (Even if he's not saying them on purpose yet).

Happy 7 months, baby Holden!
