What a big boy he is! This is Holden in his highchair on Monday, 25 weeks and 1 day old, to be exact. Here he is eating rice cereal and loving it! I'm reading a super great book, given to me from my aunt, called
Babywise II, which emphasizes the importance of structure,
manners, and discipline in a child's life. This book actually focuses on
pre-toddlers, which is right where Holden is right now. Tim and I have started
implementing the book's practices this week, such as using table manners, and signing
please with Holden, as well as,
more,
all done,
thank you,
food,
milk,
thirsty,
mama, and
daddy. We decided to work on one sign a week, starting with
please-- the most important one of all and then just stick to those few signs. Any thing else is too much for me to remember! I'm not much for whining, so I think Holden learning some very basic signing skills will help cut that out.
Well, today we're getting the house ready for a visit from my mom,who will be keeping Holden and I company as Tim will be at a conference, which I might add, had quite a hand in constructing.
Oh--I forgot to mention, Holden has 2 teeth coming in on the bottom! And boy they are sharp! He clamped down on me earlier this week--youch! After telling him a big
NO, that hurt mama! He looked straight at me and says,
dada.
